MilitarySuperProject OverviewMilitarySuper is the major superannuation fund for Australian Military personnel. Administrators ComSuper sought a refreshed and more accessible site, with improved opportunities for online service delivery, and that adopted the Fund’s new branding, already applied across numerous publications. Our SolutionMember feedback received at ComSuper had identified negativity towards the existing site with most complaints being in regard to poor accessibility and a non intuitive navigation. In addressing these concerns, Link initiated comprehensive workshops with representatives from different stakeholder groups across ComSuper (including compliance, customer service centre and legal team members). These workshops, and related meetings, determined the detailed site structure, content changes and subjects to be covered in a series of online seminars that were later researched, drafted, designed, developed and produced by Link. In addressing usability concerns, Link developed and structured a site that features primary navigation pages dedicated to the different types of MilitarySuper membership (Preserved, Contributing, Ancillary and Retired). The site retains a number of online functions including online member services, and an i-estimator (where members can estimate their final entitlement) but the new structure makes finding these services a lot easier. The new MilitarySuper branding has been successfully adapted from print to web design. A 30 minute online seminar regarding Invalidity Benefits for Military Personnel (the first in a series) was also drafted, designed and developed by Link. The seminar employs animation techniques in support of the spoken script and features a flash version, a HTML version and a text version for printing to allow for varying degrees of internet access across MilitarySuper’s membership. Further online seminars have since been developed for MilitarySuper and the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Superannuation Scheme. Successful OutcomeMeeting its deadline, in October 2007 Link delivered a site that features ease of navigation, intuitive access to information, online training capabilities, adopts new MilitarySuper branding and meets all compliance and Government standards, including Vision Australia accessibility standards for government sites. Link’s healthy relationship with ComSuper continues to grow. |
