The new National Archives of Australia (NAA) website Forced Adoptions was launched by former Prime Minister Julia Gillard on 21 March 2015 to coincide with the opening of an exhibition on forced adoption practices. This website, designed and developed by Link Digital, features Archival records and user generated content related to forced adoption policy and practices in Australia and is aimed at increasing awareness of this subject in Australia.
Increasing awareness of forced adoptions through an interactive history timeline, the website includes, a definitions search page, information to records page and invites user generated content to tell personal experiences.
