The Background

In April 2007 ComSuper sought a redevelopment of their MilitarySuper Scheme website in order to improve the sites accessibility and update the technology to allow for future improvements in online service delivery. The project further identified an opportunity to apply the new MilitarySuper branding to the Website.

The Approach

Link proposed an approach focussing on accessibility compliance and improved access to online services for this heavily trafficked site. In close and constant liaison with ComSuper’s Military Communications and Marketing Team, Link designed and developed a site that delivered ease of navigation, intuitive access to information and online training capabilities.

The Result

Within the specified timeframe, Link delivered a revised MilitarySuper website that offers improved online services for Scheme Members and satisfies Australian Government standards as well as the MilitarySuper Board’s communication and business needs. Compliance, accessibility and ease of navigation were also achieved in an organised, concise and user friendly environment. The site is set to be launched in September 2007.

Prior to the completion of the MilitarySuper website, Link was also engaged in the development of a 30 minute online seminar regarding Invalidity Benefits for Military Personnel. Primarily developed in Adobe Flash to synchronise audio and animation elements, the seminar employs animation techniques in support of the spoken script. A secondary version was developed using standard HTML pages, with the audio files available for download and transcripts available as readable text. This project was well received by the MilitarySuper Board and further online seminars have been proposed.
